DISTRIBUTION OF GOATS
The project 'Promoting Sustainable Livelihoods
of Rural poor women through Goat Rearing’ started by HVWA. We identified the
potential women beneficiaries from marginalized families who had no financial
support for the goat distribution. In rural areas, it is often seen that women
have to wander in search of employment as there is lack of resources suitable
for women employment in rural areas. Women have to work in others fields to
earn and do labour then to they don't get remuneration according to their hard
work. As the economic condition of their families not so good, they are unable
to start self-employment. In short, women are not inspired for self-employment
in rural areas.
In order to promote self-employment in rural areas, HVWA distributed goats to poor and deprived rural women. Goat is also known as "poor man’s cow", considering the initiative of the organization promoted self-employment in rural areas. With this project, these women will earn sustainable income by selling milk of the goats as well as they are producing compost manure by organic waste which is so useful for farming. They will be selling compost manure to the farmers which not only increase the income of these women but also increasing the agricultural produce.
